When Gabriel reaches out and selects the machete, Carl commends him on his choice, but adds that Gabriel isn’t holding it right, that sometimes you have to drive the machete up (and Carl demonstrates the upward driving motion) when the walker’s skull isn’t so soft…at this, Gabriel swallows hard, excuses himself to go lie down.
